Good morning all.  I had a wonderful night's sleep last night.  Feeling fresh as a daisy this morning and no headache!  Just as well because the workmen are starting on my carport and side extension on the other side of the house this morning.  The weather forecast is awful but they can shelter in the garage if it rains.  I'm all heart aren't I?  Notice I'm not inviting them into the house!  Grin  Well I might, just for a brew. Undecided

h-h, when are we going to hear this new piece of yours?  Got any cds?

Good morning. Weather's awful here Cry. I'm going out to lunch with a friend for her birthday, and was visualising a nice day out in the country, not buckets of rain and the sort of wind that blows an umbrella inside out. I don't feel fresh as a daisy at all Sad.

Morning all.
Not terribly inspiring here either.
Have to go in for half an hour to register the new students this morning, about which I'm awfully excited.  Undecided

I can make up some CDs of my music if people are interested... Just send me a PM and eventually you will receive one!
(I should mention that I've had some made up for Bryn, Ron and George for quite some time but lost them in the move to Edinburgh - they're in a pile somewhere in this flat)

Morning' all.  Jeez!  Yet another morning I've woken up without a migraine!  This is going to be a record if it keeps up to the end of the week.  Shocked

Blustery, wet and cold here again.  Just my luck to have an outside job booked for my house this week.  I told them yesterday that the sooner they get the roof up, the drier they will be to work... Grin but they looked a bit pensive and not the least bit amused.  Roll Eyes

I have a hair appointment too and I wanted to walk there and back to boost my step count.   I could walk there and get a taxi back I suppose.  Undecided

Good morning,
The most important thing after appointment with a hairdresser is not to get wet.
I love to go there. I catch up on stupid magazines if the hair specialist is not interesting to talk to. I have to say I have not met one not interesting. They all listen to music, they tell me what they like, how many children they have or if they still live with their parents, who is getting married, what kind of music they are going to have at the wedding, where their mother lives, where they are from and how far do they travel. The list of topics goes on and on and on. Everything is interesting and exciting. I usually come back full of impressions and happy.
Have a good time Millie Jones.

Thank you t-p.  I enjoy having my hair done too and the general pampering.  It needs trimming badly because I can't see where I'm going again.   Roll Eyes

Yes, it is very fascinating indeed.
For example, what kind of cloths they are wearing. Is it a short dress or trousers, what hair style do they have. Do they have stricks in their hair or do they have plain hair.
One of my hairdresser has two children. The older girl is taking piano lessons and even passed grade one Royal Irish Academy before dropping out. She has a small son of about four year old. I knew her before she had a son.
The other hairdresser is getting married. She was looking for a quartet to play at a wedding. I got her the phone of my violin player.
I had a hairdresser from Slovakia. She was so sad. Her husband was washing dishes in some restaurant, but had allergy and could not continue. She had two children. It was just before Christmas. I had lots of money then and I gave her 40 euro. I wanted  to give her 50, but somehow it ended up being 40. I just did not take change back and run out. She run after me, but I did not hear her.
I think she went back to Slovakia. She was thinking about it. I don't see her anymore, so she went back. She was lovely.

I had a Russian woman from Latvia (Riga) for a while. She now went back to her parents. She told me about prices on the houses market in Riga. They bought a small one room appartment. At the time she was waiting for final approval. She also told me that it is nice to go there for vocations. I did go to near Riga (Bulduri) for vocations with my mother. It is a beautiful place.

t-p - men don't do small-talk.  They're not like us girls.  Hence the sarcasm.  Wink

Good morning. The tempests howl outside, but luckily I don't have to go out.

My hairdresser talks mostly about how awful men are - husband, son, anyone else male. Also how awful her mother is. Nevertheless, she is quite entertaining and has a lot of common sense. I like talking to her, which is just as well, because I loathe having my hair done. I only have it cut, anything that takes longer is just so boring. The last time I had it "done", other than by myself, was probably for my own wedding rather a long time ago Grin.

Is that a dry trim then Mary?  They always wet mine so I think I might as well have the blow dry as well.  I like the head massage too.  It costs extra but is very relaxing.  Cheesy

She does wet it, but I don't have it washed. My hairdresser comes to the house, so I might as well wash it myself. A head massage would send me screaming to do something else, I think, but then I don't have your busy life.

I'm just summoning up the energy to go and peel the apples that I finally picked up from the lawn. I think there are some blackberries in the freezer, so blackberry and apple something is in the offing.
