Waste paper baskets normally lead a sedentary life. They wait for the prey to come to them, rather than actively hunting, and to see them hunting in a pack is very unusual. Have you been overfeeding them? Overfeeding them sometimes encourages the pack mentality. The other possibility is that they are feeling insecure. Do you regularly show them affection?
Cheesy Cheesy

I'm very careful not to overfeed mine or they vomit all over the floor.  Not too disastrous unless they've had pencil shavings.

I fancy one of those little robot vacuum cleaners that runs round the floor all by itself. I can't believe they really work.

My guess is that they can't have that much suction otherwise they wouldn't be able to move very well if your carpet was of any thickness!  My vacuum cleaner is a Rowenta Tonixo.  It's quite an unusual design but I love it - the head is triangular so that it goes into corners nicely, and it's got an excellent swivel effect that means you can get under anything - you can have the extension arm pretty much flat against the floor and it's still sucking.

They've stopped making them now - gutted.

Back in the days when I worked in an office, I had a choice of start times ranging from 8 to 9:30.  Naturally (being a night owl and late riser)  I chose 9:30.  Little did I realise this automatically marked me in the eyes of my boss (ex-military, always at his desk at 0600 or something) as an immoral, lazy and work-shy slacker.
This all sounds very familiar ... Roll Eyes I used to get looks like that from my boss for arriving a few minutes after 9, even though I'd often stay well beyond 5.30 and very rarely had a full lunch break.

Ruby, I can't imagine watching comedy in the mornings: that sounds utterly unbearable! (Though I don't really ever watch comedy by choice, so I guess it's just a question of temperament.)

My vacuum cleaner has been standing outside the door of my room for several weeks - I put it there to remind me of something too, I do know what but somehow knowledge does not seem to have been a spur to action in this case, possibly because the action in question needs to be preceded by my moving (and preferably sorting out) the piles of CDs and papers spread across the floor just inside the room.

I'm afraid I can't bear anything too serious first thing in the morning.  This could cause problems if I ever actually get to move in with the OH because he listens to the Today programme.  I can't abide that because John Humphrys can be so argumentative.  We may need separate dressing rooms.  Cheesy

I tend to do exactly the same with the studio.  When I'm sat elsewhere contemplating the idea of cleaning it, the quantity of rubbish in there diminishes in my head.  As soon as I walk in I'm immediately exhausted by the mere idea and have to go and sit down again.  The problem may lie in the fact that any kind of cleaning in there involves kicking up gallons of dust and usually banging my head on various parts of the drawing board several times.  The counterweight is particularly hazardous.

I can't be doing with voices in the morning, so the Today programme is a complete no-no Shocked I'd rather have silence or R3. Even Hoovering might be preferable to listening to egos being aired! Cheesy

Note to self. Hoovering? Now you're just being silly, Mort.

I've been known to watch Breakfast in the mornings, because I've got a bit of a crush on Bill Turnbull. Don't ask me why - I think it must be the voice. It usually is in my case.

More often I listen to Radio 3.

Cheesy  He's very watchable - I think because he's harmless and a little bit mischievous.  I like gentle TV at that time in the morning.

I don't tend to listen to much radio in the bedroom since my radio in there is an enormous old valve radio and its signal is easily upset if you're moving around.  Or anyone in the street is moving around.  Or anything in the sky.  Across the whole county.  It's nice for lying in bed listening though as the sound is quite warm and it's not too trebly.

Good morning all.
Weather is rather miserable here.
I'm running 30 minutes behind schedule today because I spent time catching up on the news and watching at least some of the speeches.
Congratulations to all who stayed up to see it through.

Good morning. Sorry to hear you're not well, Mort.

I'm on a bit of a high after hearing a fabulous performance of Tchaik 5 at the Liverpool Phil last night under Petrenko. He looked totally drained (and very hot) by the end. Also Hilary Hahn in the Violin Concerto, not my favourite piece but she was good - I've never seen her before and was impressed on the whole (apart from some rather dodgy intonation on the very high notes). She looked lovely.

Dull and mild here.
