Mort - I would have thought that it was an occupational hazard, doing what you do, but it sounds like there's no escape.  Grin

Zackly, Ruby. There's got to be some 'off-duty' time Wink Dark sunglasses seem to be an effective 'cloak of invisibility'.  I'm still working on perfecting my no-eye-contact-with-likely-suspects technique Cheesy

'tis true about picking up therapy patients. For stewed cabbages like this moggy, helping some other stewed cabbage does a lot for the self-esteem. But I have never forgotten the sage advice of Ginger, an ex-rozzer who was on the same vocational course as me, that the ones that wear their underpants on the outside are generally fairly safe. It's the ones who seem perfectly normal until you suggest a shortcut past the railway cuttings that should be avoided.

Good morning.
Woke around 8 today, which makes up for the previous night's 4 hours sleep.
Lots to do today, so I suppose I should just get on with it!

Good morning.  I had a great night's sleep too.  Busy day ahead as usual. I'd better get on with it as well.

Still time to have a cup of tea, a banana, a poppadom and a quick browse of cookery programmes on the iPlayer...
Hardly any of them seem to be working... Except for Delia's potato programme.

Banana and poppadum!  Very nice!  Undecided

I'm doing bacon, egg and toast for the boys.  I'm just having the toast of course.

Good morning, everyone.

BBM: I had a reaction to my flu jab this year - I hardly ever do. Aching muscles a few days after, very noticeable.

Now I've been taken off the books for asthma I don't get a flu jab. Can't say I've really noticed all that much of a difference. Haven't had flu for years [touches wood].

Mornin' folks.  At last the wind has died down!  According to the weather forecast we have a 24-hour respite and then it will all start up again.  Not much point clearing up the sand until after the weekend I suppose.  It's a bit soul-destroying when it all appears again a day later.  It looks like a nice day today so I'll make the most of it.  Lunch with a friend, then watching football practice after school.  Nice.  Cheesy

Good morning. Looks like a nice day here, too. We had the fierce winds yesterday, but I don't have the sand problem. Only leaves and yet more fallen apples. The apples may be small, but there seem to be an awful lot of them.

Despite eating a lot of cabbage lately, we seem to have been spared fierce wind up here for some time.
It would have made transporting my recycling to the bin yesterday rather exciting (seriously I managed to fill one of those things up yesterday - I don't think I've taken anything for recycling for about 9 months; I've just hoarded it - it's like the gestation period for a recycling baby!).
This morning we have blue sky and what looks like sunshine...

Morning all,

A startingly clear day today - the light was stunning this morning. Low sunshine and hardly any haze at all.  On the negative side I've left my lunch at home so I'll have to turn out again at some point.  Oh well.  Grin

When in doubt, wash.

Not much point clearing up the sand until after the weekend I suppose.

The Walrus and the Carpenter
Were walking close at hand;
They wept like anything to see
Such quantities of sand:
"If this were only cleared away,"
They said, "it would be grand!"

"If seven maids with seven mops
Swept it for half a year.
Do you suppose," the Walrus said,
"That they could get it clear?"
"I doubt it," said the Carpenter,
And shed a bitter tear.
