So it was definitely a day for some of this in the park:

I believe you mean 'Nom Nom', Mr Macrae. Now, are those some kind of blood sausages I see, lower left?  Shocked Tongue

Keep your eye on them, Stuart, especially if you see a green helicopter hovering overhead.

Already snaffled (numnum Cheesy) Yes, a blood sausage that a friend got in a fairly upmarket deli. Not a Scottish black pudding, but a Spanish or French version, I think.

Absolutely gorgeous day here. This is the view I snapped on my walk back home just now...

Super shot, IGI! And you've got me all homesickly again (not that I'm from Winchester itself, but close enough, and I went to school there for two years). I was in the cathedral just last week, in fact!  Smiley

I went to the food fair they held in the Cathedral grounds at the weekend. Lots of delicious goodies to be had - wines, cheeses, cake, scones, salami etc. Seriously good. Bumped into colleagues plus a few ex-pupils too, which is always nice.

I don't go into the Cathedral too often, mainly for concerts; the BSO are doing some RVW-based concerts in June, to which I'll toddle along, especially an evening where the strings will be playing the Tallis Fantasia, Dives and Lazarus, plus Elgar, Delius and Grieg.

Could that be Ron's favourite plant in the background there? Grin

It's far enough away not to be doing me any damage, eru.

This, on the other hand, is rather closer....

Aaaaargh! Boy, that's a close-up and a half, Ron!

Actually, Eru, I'm sure the yellow blanket in IGI's shot is just the Twyford Down buttercup meadow, in all its innocence. Grin

I don't go into the Cathedral too often,

And with the present Bishop of Winchester you need a rabies injection before you do.

Took this yesterday on my little camera, a tree near Birmingham Uni. Now why am I reminded of Barbara Cartland all of a sudden? Cheesy

Looks like morcilla to me, more than boudin noir, which is long and skinny.

Now, now, Don B....although not a practising Christian, I do know Bishop Michael after visits he made to my previous school. Some eight years on, and at a different school, he stills remembers my name, stops to chat and always asks about cricket and music, having picked up they are my great passions. He's always struck me as a very nice chap and has tremendous presence.

Back to the photos. I love this time of year, not least for the lilacs in my neighbours' garden, which overhangs mine - glorious colours.
