I don't get many butterflies in my garden, so was pleasantly surprised by the visit of this peacock butterfly this afternoon:

Great shot, IGI - can't guess what camera it was taken with.

Lovely, IGI. I'm concerned at not having seen a single peacock butterfly nor a small tortoiseshell in the garden (or anywhere) this year - I usually see quite a few. I do hope their populations will recover.

Merely corroborative detail, intended to give artistic verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative.

I had a great time taking my niece and nephew to the zoo today and it was good to test out the zoom lense on the camera! The lemurs are a great favourite and these two photos probably deserve captions! Getting close to the big cats: In Encounter Village, they have built a new walk-through enclosure to see the Golden Tamarins, whilst the otters enjoyed a spot of sunshine:

I love to look at animals. It looks like you had a good day today too, IGI. Yours was different day than mine, but we both had a good day.
