Stop being so modest, Andy, we all know it's really your own house... Cheesy

Merely corroborative detail, intended to give artistic verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative.

And to you and yours too, Ron! (And Reiner and IGI and Mort and anyone else who's still up...)

May as well post this here too. Can't have enough of it, I say.

Merry Christmas to all and peace all round...  Kiss

Mr Mean hates Christmas as it's the one day of the year when he doesn't make any money - even his most loyal worker, Mr Happy, has the day off! Until one Christmas eve, when Mr Mean has a strange dream in which he meets three people who show him the error of his ways.

Did anyone have these on their Christmas list?

I read about them in a magazine on a plane some months ago, and wondered if any of you afficianados had heard them.  Are they worth the £700,000 a pair?

Speakers, Mort.  Click on the link and you should get some info.  Basically, they are accoustically designed by mega-boffins (although how they can do that without knowing the shape of your room, I don't know) and aesthetically sculpted by an artist to look cool.

Strange how those publications always take us for a ride.

Speakers are still on my list. Well I need a new monitor (this old one only shows LHS of modern web pages, and even on this forum everyone's avatar is also truncated at the right) and this old monitor has add-on speakers and get their power through the monitor (if I was to keep these fairly good speakers I would need a power adaptor and another adaptor for the female end of the wire, so an adaptor with two males) and these old speakers have sockets for headphones and microphone.

So, if I get a new monitor I'll need new speakers, and want at least 15W. I've seen some good sets by Trust in Asda for about 20 pounds and they also do a neat looking USB microphone which has a socket for headphones, about 10 pounds. Might go for a 19" hp monitor from Tesco at 139 pounds.

Any advice before I go waste all that money on Wednesday?  Smiley
