Only if you're almost redundant, John.

More than almost, I was made redundant last year, so I guess that counts  Smiley

I'm delighted we've almost seen the back of post offices.

Only joking! Only joking!

Those strips of plastic with sticky under a peelable skin on the back where you put them through a hand held thingy and ended up with embossed letters - used for labeling belongings that you could neither write on nor sew things on.

Toothpaste tubes with lids that are fully detatchable.

My local shop tries to flog those to us now.  I don't know where they get them.

And really, I must say it:

Those clockwork, ticking from side to side, wooden pyramid metronomes which so often limped and where you could only set Mälzel's approved tempi. And forget about slipping one into the instrument case, just in case you found an odd moment to practise...

In case anyone gets up in arms about the Ligeti Poème symphonique, do please note the 'almost' in the thread title.

Dot-matrix printers that required paper with holes on the edges along two strips that then had to be carefully torn off along the inadequate perforations which meant essays printed at 4am ended up getting ripped up in one's tired state assuming the pages hadn't jammed in the printer in the first place...
