220 is one of my all-time favourites - Rachmaninov's Vespers/ All Night Vigil.

No takers yet for our 219?

Here it is. We find it rather lovely.

A clue: the composer was Italian.

A clue: puzzle 200 is not an opera as some have suggested but a symphonic work.

Is 200 Zemlinsky's Lyric Symphony?

Strictly speaking we ought to ask for a single one of the fourteen works by Berio which go by that title... and in fact we shall since the Member will gain extra points thereby.

It is indeed! In the performance with Mr and Mrs Fischer-Dieskau. The work is of course very much inspired by Mahler's Song of the Earth but in turn gave its title and one of its memorable melodies to the Berg Lyric Suite.

Hurrah! That was, we confess, a bit of a guess following Mr Sudden's clues...  Embarrassed

We see no members have yet attempted No.218.

Puzzle 218: SendSpace or Rapidshare  Cheesy

Here's a first clue: the composer was Austrian.

I knew you would ask that!!  And I'm not sure.  What about Sequenza IXa for clarinet?

No 208 sounds like Alan Bush to me - let's try Symphony no. 1 in C (for starters).
