CLUETIME!

And to fill the gap, here is a new Puzzle 349 in SS and RS
This has been incorrectly suggested twice.

Perhaps this snatch should have been numbered 112.5......

Puzzle 358: SS or RS

I can give clues on this now.  Proof that it is in the repertoire, having been performed recently, is on the Watch and Listen thread.

Puzzle 325 is Charpentier's Sonate à huit.
Puzzle 327 is Monteverdi's Tempro la cetra from his Seventh Book of Madrigals.
Puzzle 362 is Sorabji's Le jardin parfumé.
Puzzle 363 is Cage's Sixteen Dances.

All my Puzzles have now been solved and I've lost interest.

Some clues for 355 and 356...

355 is the work of a composer whose location and time placed him under the influence of Handel, but whose forward-looking ambition caused him to write music in more 'Classical' genres.

356 is the work of an extremely prolific composer who was also a friend of J. S. Bach.

On second thoughts, No.364 might well be the first of Beethoven's Rasumovsky string quartets, the String Quartet in F Op.59 No.1?

I haven't properly woken up yet, but is 364 the last movement of Beethoven's Quartet in C Op. 59 no. 3 ('Rasoumowsky')?

No it's not that.

Nor is it that we fear.

Correct! The work is within the capabilities of most amateur quartets and is great fun to play. Top marks to Mr. Iron.

A first clue to Puzzle No.352 of this connected trio: It was dedicated to Franz Liszt, who approved of the work!
