Puzzle 354: SS or RS

A first clue to Puzzle No.352 of this connected trio: It was dedicated to Franz Liszt, who approved of the work!

Is 352 Eugen d’Albert's Piano Concerto No. 1 in B minor?

It's not Saint-Saëns' Mephisto either, I'm afraid.

OK, so let's try something else. Is it from Chopin's Piano Concerto in E Minor?

No, it's not Chopin's E minor Piano Concerto either.

I think it prudent to offer a second clue in quick succession. This orchestral composition is not a concerto. The composer concerned showed the score to Liszt, who sat down at the piano and played it from sight, approved it and accepted its recommendation.

Mr. Thompson's puzzle 349 is certainly the fine Cello Concerto of the cosmopolitan Delius.

Is 358 Pavel Petrovich Bulakhov's Barcarolle?

Correct!

I take my hat off to you.  And if I was wearing several they would all come off.

Thank you Mr. Thompson - we considered holding back for four and three-quarter days so as to pump up your points but a little voice said no. . . . not this time anyway.

No.352 is not Glazunov's Symphony No.2, Mr Iron.

A first clue towards No.353 from this connected trio now....it is music from a ballet suite.

It's not Balakirev's Tamara either, engaging work though that is.

Well for 352 then let's try this: Borodin's Tone Poem In the Steppes of Central Asia.

If this is wrong, it can go to someone else!
