Ha ha!  At last, the Man from Del Monte, he say

No and No.

Mr 1780

But it was worth 40 points for the guess!

How about Paganini for 388? It doesn't sound like the first or second concerto, but it could just possilby be No.3 in E III. Polacca?

For 388 I shall have a 20-pointer at the Vieuxtemps 1st concerto.

No, sorry.

But what a marvellously cheesy work that is (just like 388)

HERE and HERE may be found puzzle 389, which we suspect a number of people will find easy.

We should like to essay a stab at 389, Mr Grew. Babbitt, Piano Concerto (the first, of 1985)? It could possibly be the second, of 1998, but we shall plump for the former.

Is this Webern's Concerto for flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, trumpet, violin, viola and piano, opus 24?

Sorry it is neither! The composer is much better known and the work is much more seminal.
