In which case, you guess wrongly. How could you forget the popcorn?

Here is Puzzle 126. An absolute gift for autoharp, if he is around.

Indeed, richard, the 'Popcorn Quartet', or "Quarteto das pipocas". It was that movement's pizzicato writing which gave rise to the name.

In an interview included with the old Vega LP set of Turangalîla, Messiaen claimed Villa-Lobos as an influence, a claim which brought the response "Villa-Lobos! Tien, tien!" from Claude Samuel, the interviewer.

126 - Ives: Over the pavements.

Bryn - I didn't know you realised that it's a big favourite of mine. I suppose I must have let it slip at some point in the last 35 years or so.

A favourite with both of us, autoharp, as has been mentioned previously, either here or at TOP.

Entirely correct opilec (and thankyou for saving me the effort of working out how to reproduce all those accents too!).

130 sounds like Liszt but I'm not sure what.

It does? Well, you're only, what, over half a century out, and I thought you'd get it pretty quick. Wink

Just a little hint. There's a pretty major solo part that does not feature in that clip, and another which only turns up in the finale.
