In Russia today we have a gorgeous sunny morning and it's +19C.

You are all living in the wrong place Wink

I saw BBM's post earlier about snow here in Brighton and thought 'yeah, but not down here actually on the front!'. But now we're looking at at least 2 inches. Last time it settled here to any extent I can recall was at least ten years ago.  Shocked

Still snowing hard here in Brighton.  I've never seen anything like this here before.

No snow here: there were a few flakes around 8 a.m., leading to a very light dusting, which was gone in minutes. It's still quite cloudy and windy, though: satellite pictures show our band of weather working its way down the east coast, so there may be more to come your way later....

pw, it looks like I'm peeping through the fur coats in the wardrobe, into the wintry land of Narnia. You just need a lamp-post to complete the scene  Wink

I have some nice pictures of our park at 9am and 1pm.

This is dependent on my pc feeling like downloading any pictures today.

I keep hoping.

I would echo John's remarks pw, a totally magical picture.  Can we have more please from you and those others who have snow?

We had a light covering early this morning which soon went.  However it is coming down thick and fast now, huge flakes like feathers but the sky doesn't look too laden (at the moment)

I have, as a precaution, got my sturdy hiking boots out  Cheesy

Lovely picture, pw. Smiley

Just to prove that we're far less snowbound up here, here's a view I've posted before, but taken today. It's away from the coast, but relatively little snow has fallen, although it's cold enough for what has landed to stay:

From the top of Carrot, looking across to the Glens and beyond, however, it's obvious that further inland there's been a deal more snow, and that it's still falling. Incidentally, the prominent white building halfway up or so, about a quarter of the way in from the left, is none other than the White Kirk at Inverarity, recently featured in the Cathedrals and Churches thread.

I love beautiful pictures on this thread. We don't have snow, but it is cold. I walked for an hour in strong wind.
