I don't know whether Hove has a storm cone but if it does it will certainly have been raised.

Sad I'd better check with the neighbours.

Could be one of these if you're lucky Grin

We had a fantastic torrential rainstorm complete with thunder earlier on this evening.  The only problem was I was in the Royal Albert Hall at the time, which has a metal roof, and I was attempting to listen to the RVW Piano Concerto which has some very quiet bits.  In fact the rain ONLY came down especially hard for the quiet bits.

I gather the din was audible on the radio, too...

Strangely, the last time I can recall that happening was during another RVW work - the Fifth Symphony - conducted by Rattle, during the 90s I'd guess: I'll have the tape somewhere....

At least these days the roof is intact! Grin

I remember a waterfall cascading down from the Circle onto the Stalls during a New World Symphony circa 2001...

During the closing concert of the Darmstadt Ferienkurse this year, it started chucking it down during Rihm's In-Schrift so loudly that the performers started looking at the ceiling as if they feared it might fall in.

That's odd, when we did Rihm's Vigilia in Köln recently the hail was hurtling down like there was no tomorrow. (Fitted the text nicely what with it being the et circa horam nonam bit.) Is he known for attracting inclement weather?

I've got two lines of washing out!  Beautiful sunny day, blue sky, balmy breeze, cotton wool clouds...... Huh

I'm fed up with this weather - the first 2 days of Warks v Essex at Edgbaston have been completely ruined, not a ball bowled Cry Actually I wouldn't mind the weather if there were no cricket on, I much prefer this to dry hot conditions, but there hasn't been much of that this year, a few days is all I can remember.

We actually saw the sun today, it wasn't too bad until Heather had to walk home from work.

It rains, rains and rains. Rain is everywhere here.

They have 39 (it is very hot) in Greece. Trees are very stressed. There is no rain.

There were 34 in Moscow which is a record. They had 32 in 1954. This temperature is unbearable in there.

I wish I can send some rain from here to Greece so that trees will not suffer.

No rain here yet today but the wind is now getting up and the sky clouding over so I don't think it will be long.  It's been a brilliant "drying" day.  Just enough warm breeze.  I've managed to dry 4 lines of washing very quickly.  Got to iron it all now of course. It'll keep me out of mischief for the rest of the afternoon anyway. Sad  It's a lovely feeling though to have it all done, clean and fragrant.

(What a complete saddo I am).  Roll Eyes

Weather closing in here, very cool wind, hills and Church spire have disappeared in murkiness.

I really can't think when I last ironed anything  Cheesy  Perhaps I should try it?  (I think I have an iron somewhere ..... )
