At about half three we had a torrential downpour which lasted for half an hour (after a dry and sunny day).  Just got home and the sky was so black it had a deep purple hue and now the rain is coming down, beating at the windows and I cannot see across the field.  Sad

It's been changeable here in the not-so-far North West.  Lovely hot morning and afternoon but showers ever since.  The forecast is ok for tomorrow but down the pan for the weekend.  Well it's traditional in a seaside resort to have lousy weather during the weekend when the visitors come.  Roll Eyes

BBM, today is grey, dull, drizzle, the hills have disappeared in the mist, the sheep are not visible nor is the Church spire.  When the spire and the sheep  go you know it is set in for the day.  The 5 day forecast is rain, rain, rain.

It's been pouring down all day. No sign of stopping. Very cold too.  I've just put the heating on.  I thought I'd give the house a blast through of warmth for an hour or so.  Roll Eyes

I can't say it's actually cold Huh the temperature is very pleasant to be honest. Perhaps I'm just a

But, although the sun did appear briefly this afternoon, the rain is back again now - not heavy but persistent.

It's grim here. Nearly dark outside, the rain's been lashing down for hours and it feels distinctly autumnal. I quite like autumn, but I'd much rather we had a summer first!

Am I being too Pollyannaish if I say that I'm glad I don't have to water my pot plants? Cheesy

That’s what I find so wonderful, that not a day goes by – to speak in the old style – hardly a day, without some addition to one’s knowledge however trifling, the addition I mean, provided one takes the pains.

We've sun at the moment, but a forecast for far more rain, which is a pity, because it's the Cortachy Highland Games today, and I quite fancy a visit, but there's little point if there's a constant downpour.

I thought it was bad enough here last night, but just across the water had it far worse.
