On the other hand, we might end up exporting water to all those countries which do get warmer and drier.

Two non-summers in a row.  Horrid.
 Cry

Typical of this country that they can't even get global warming right.

Oh dear. Would you feel better if you popped down to Morrisons and bit someone? Wink Kiss Or, buy some of these while you're there and taken a chunk of of them instead!

Probably, but the nearest Morrisons is several hundred miles from my present position, where the weather is sunny and the temperature in the mid-twenties, which is my favourite kind of climate. (I should have said that country.)

Ah, I see. Guess it will have to be the cornichons then. God, life can be cruel Grin

To be honest, if I'm going to bite a pickle I'd rather it came out of a jar.

We have just returned to London from an overnight trip to friends in the countryside near Newport / Casnewydd.  They met us at the Station.

I wouldn't say it rained all the time.  It just seemed like it.  Sancho and friend 1 went to Newport Sainsbury's, while self and friend 2 looked at the Cathedral (pictures to follow.)  Friend 2 drove to Sainsbury's car park and could not leave the car due to the exceptionally heavy rain pouring down, leaving his wife and Sancho all alone in the Sainsbury's cafeteria.

I do like a place where the train station has sings saying Platform 1 / Platfform 1, but a bit of sunshine would have been nice.

Well, it is the Land of Song (except for Barry Island - Land of Snog).

Ta, Ron.  sings should read signs.

I was disappointed that the announcements on the train were not done in Welsh after Bristol Parkway.  The station announcements at Carenewydd  / Newport were.

I was relieved when I reached my pre-booked seat to find the ticket say it was reserved to "Newport South Wal."  I had been so worried about being taken to the Isle of Wight by mistake.

Aha, the rains have arrived, with attitude. The trees are attempting to bash the windows in and I can hear the slugs chortling happily as they glide up the garden path. Ah the joys of a British Summer Cheesy

Hi Lord Byron,
Good to see you again.

We Have good weather. There is no rain. It is dry, sunny and not cold. It is very pleasant.
I had good time walking in the centre. You don't come here much.
