My favourites are oatcakes, the ones with cracked black pepper in them



or plain rough ones with cheese and Geeta's Lime & Chilli chutney.



I'm not very keen on sweet biscuits though I do sometimes eat digestives, even on occasions plain chocolate ones.

I'm not munching any of these at the moment. Sad

Biscuits get softer when they get old, cakes get harder.

They are not much better - but at least with baked beans there's some sort of nutrition to be got out of them.

What taste do Jaffa Cakes have other than sugar and gungy mucous?

I have become rather partial to Green and Black's Chocolate Flapjack Biscuits, though I can't actually afford to buy them.

Ian, they just taste of, er, well, Jaffa Cakes and sometimes only a Jaffa Cake will do. But only if you like them Grin I can't stand Lincoln Creams (or Pimple biscuits as a friend calls them) but I know that some people speak very highly of them. Aside from Rich Tea I can't think of a more unexciting biscuit. But who cares? Life is too short to fret about biscuits! Grin Break open the Bourbons!

I'm a nut muncher.... (innuendo vehemently denied!).... particularly the bags of pre-shelled nuts which come from Lidl, or if I'm awash with dosh, Julian Graves. Not all the time, mind: a handful in the morning, and some more around now time.

Oatcakes, definitely; particularly the local bakery's cheese oatcakes (heaven in a two-inch square) which been banned from the house due to my predilection for eating a packet at a sitting. Plain oatcakes spread with fromage frais and topped with rhubarb and ginger preserve don't half hit the spot, too.

I know they are fabulously crunchy and piquant and I don't think that I can hold out much longer!! <gannetemoticon>
