Absolutely....don't know how I can have missed Alison as I replied to her thread at the other place about recent CD purchases, praising some great timpani playing!

I reckon you guys are just winding me up  Roll Eyes

I deleted the Decca avatar when I 'overwrote' it with the Mozart so it should have disappeared for good then

Ho!  Does anybody recognise this as a recent avatar?

Oh look..he's got a Grooved Ansermet/SRO Glazunov: 'The Seasons'/2 Waltzes...Decca SXL 6269..

Wow, Soundwave, how could you read that on the Decca label, it was too blurred!!

Aha, the sleeve, still there under my hifi, you saw the sleeve on the photo of my Garrard turntable. See the Inspector does not miss a thing

Mort, so you got that avator i sent you!

Oh bugler, Anna! I meant to include a thank you in that posting, then I   got horribly entangled in me smileys and didn`t know where I was in the message. It looked as though it had gone horribly wrong. Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. Is that me in the corner with another flippin` pound of lemons?  Or am I on double bootlace cleaning duty for the next month? Or even, gulp. both?

Milly,
I go t my smileys in Annoncement section (home of this site and then Annoncement). http://s149.photobucket.com/albums/s74/r3boards/Smileys/

Then you have to click with the left button of mouth to copy. When you are writing a message click on the right side, it will say: paste. Click on it and the smiley is there.
This is how I do it .

Tubas are because we found a new home, SimonSagt,

Morticiaa you avatar is class!!!

My avatar is entirely due to the dedication of my dear Sister Anna, Keeper of the Secrets of the Avatars, without whose help I would not be here today. I would also like to thank my primary school teacher, the man in the sweet shop on the corner who gave me free flying saucers, my personal trainer, my cats manicurist .........

Nah, I`ve blown the Bishop of Bath and Wells out now. Men wearing fancy frocks is one thing, but toying with a girls Blahniks is sumfing else altogether. Oi Bish, no! Flippin` sauce.

Ho JW.  I couldn't read that Decca label.. It was on a thread in "another place" in a message put there by Viva-Tonal of various identities:-

Viva-Tonal ~*  5718707
Anti-reinum
Tchaikovsky ate my Sausage
Colonel Moose Blaster  -  the current one.  He merely posts messages of no value or content apart from a conceited form of "cheap" cleverness.  When he indicated he had read your disc avatar - I wondered.
Cheers

SusanDoris,
There is no page about Volodos yet. I don't know how many pianists are here.
I know more about old pianists, like Gilels etc.
Also I found that people tend to disagree about performers because they have different tastes.

Do you know if Volodos is giving recitals in UK somewhere? I myself am far away from any cultural center on the West of Ireland. However we had Giltsburg here a few years ago (may be 2) right after he won competition.

tp
I have tried several times to work out how to find Volodos's programme but without success. I will try again and then put somethng on one of the music boards.

I have been working my way through all NINETEEN pages, and just when I get nearly to the end, I see it has now progress to 20! But I must say I think all the smilies rushing across the screen, particularly the large grand piano, is great fun. I wonder if there is a way I can catch one with the mouse, click on it and make it stop! (Not really!)
