Andy, she's lovely! I can almost feel that fur. I'm glad you managed to get her to a place of safety. Had any disagreements over food yet? Wink Grin

She looks as if she has landed very happily on her feet Smiley. Would she have any objection to being made Honorary R3OK Mascot?

Pixie would have liked to thank you all personally for your warm welcome but unfortunately she's not very good with a mouse Grin

So are you keeping her then Andy?
Are you falling in love with her?

Has she been PMing you both to get you to try to melt my steely heart?

Would she have any objection to being made Honorary R3OK Mascot?

None at all.

It would appear she has enlisted the help of a friend ...

C'mon Andy, admit it. Pixie is The One. How can you resist? Go on, go on, go on.

Full story later but I thought I'd quickly show all you cat lovers some pix I've just taken of Pix in the living room.

Isn't she gorgeous! You can see how happy she is Andy, kneading the carpet as you stroke her. She's a lucky cat to have you rescue her - and love her. Wink Go on, admit it, aren't you becoming just a teensy weensy bit fond of her? Cheesy

I expect you cat experts get this all the time, but she keeps disappearing - and given the colour she is it's very difficult to see her. That's one reason why my mother has had to get rid of her, she's scared of tripping over her.

I've got to keep her in the house for 2 weeks, I know she can't get out but even so...

This morning I walked right past her without seeing her on the way to the bathroom, then found she was sitting under a stepladder on the landing. She vanished completely just now and I looked everywhere - and then she walked past me as I started typing this. I realised when she vanished again that she's tucking herself away behind an armchair in the computer room. When we arrived at the house last night, I couldn't find her after I'd unloaded everything from my van - and of course I'd had the front door open - but I eventually spotted her hiding in a shelf underneath the TV.

Haslemere? Well she is a Cheshire Cat. It's what they do.

I'm very surry George but I'm confused by this... Wink

Ah yes, the classic cat manouvre - 'Bewilder and bamboozle humans' . They have it down to a fine art, Andy Cheesy Mind you, when they move to a new home their first reaction is to hide somewhere, preferably dark and out of view, while they get a measure of their new surroundings. When I first moved here one of the cats found the smallest, most inaccessible (to humans) space. For days all I could see were the tips of two black ears. He came out for food though Roll Eyes

Even now they do it. I can be running around, calling for them, convinced they've been kidnapped by aliens or worse, then see one of them gazing at me from the corner of a room with that unmistakable cat expression - inscrutable crossed with smirk Grin

Oh, and remember The First Law of Cats. ALL doors shall remain open at ALL times. Including the bathroom door Grin

That's reminded me of when I moved house with my two beautiful black cats, Daisy and Holly. For the first few hours all you could see were the tips of four black ears - behind the microwave! I must find those photos one day...
