Correction, not the last act yet but Marguerite's death isn't far off...sniff sniff
Sorry that's not very happy is it... but I suppose I enjoy crying as I listen to a tragic opera!
Not sure about that bird pecking inside the lamb's nostril, t-p!

Merely corroborative detail, intended to give artistic verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative.

I am not sure it is the real lamb. Do you think it is real? I can remove it. The lamb is very clean.
Crying is a pleasure too. Crying makes things easier. There is something in it.

On Friday morning I thought I had posted something here, but when I went to look on Friday evening (in case anyone wishes to have my autograph or something!) it was not here, so must have disappeared into cyber space.
Anyway, several things made me laugh this week but the one on Thursday was the mention of my name by Quentin Cooper (my favourite presenter on R4)during the second half of Material World between 4:45 - 5:0. This half of the programme was about the 18th century mathematician, Euler, the 300th anniversary of whose birth comes in April. This had been trailed the previous week and I had sent an e-mail saying how I used the 'Knight's Move' 8x8 square with Year 6 children, who all loved it. The numbers 1-64 are arranged so that all columns and rows have the same total, the cross diagonals of each of the square's quarters have a relationship (which I've forgotten) and the numbers 1-64 can be linked in an unbroken line using the Chess Knight's Move. QC said, 'We've had an e-mail from one of our listeners, a teacher, Susan Buckingham....' and then he and his two guests discussed it. It quite made my day!

A and Baz.... I don't want to seem alarmist, but it looks to me as if that meal of yours aged you both by at least 40 years. Are you sure the food was fresh?

You'd love my sea view at the moment. Raging and passionate sea with big white horses. One of my favourite sights in the world. (Pity about the raging sand though).

That would suit me fine, Milly. You can't beat a view like that; it brings one closer to something real in this world.
