That's where you're going wrong, Anty! The Catholic Herald has the gayest editorial staff in Fleet Street (well, it's not actually in Fleet Street, but you know what I mean ...).
Ron, aren't we as likely to disappoint you as you are us?

Goodness tinners,  Catholic Herald?  Gay Editorials?

And here I am, wiv me cordless headphones, prancing along to The Pet Shop Boys "Father it's a Sin" from their discography

What is to become of us?

From what I understand Uncle ~Ron's vowels are unlikely to disappoint.

I very much doubt it. But for starters, don't expect a frock: it's really not my style. At all.

It's ok, I really wasn't, somehow! (Although I believe Richard may have been a tad confused ... Wink)

Ms Kitty, on behalf of mogs everywhere I would like to thank you for drawing attention to the shameful absence of a mog in the PJs pic.  It's just typical. There we are, going about our moggy business, grooming ourselves to within an inch to look gorgeous, perfecting our repetoire of entertaining divertissments for an often unappreciative audience and generally being fascinating in our uniquely exasperating manner. Do we receive any crits for this? We do not!  Thank you Miss Kitty for recognising our vital role in the chorus.

I told her about that pink dressing gown. Would she listen?

Unbelievably, my thesis finally passed! Smiley

Viva was yesterday. Now feeling completely shattered (a consequence of the work, not the celebrations, which were fairly low-key).

A busy four weeks ahead: minor corrections have to be completed and the whole thing printed properly (after converting to .pdf files, which will be a pain), a vocal score has to be finished for performances this autumn, and there's the small matter of a paper for the Sorbonne on 3 April.

No rest for the wicked. Sometimes I wish I was working on Lescurel instead.

  Warmest congratulations, opi!    Smiley

I read your good news when I was about to enter The Happy Room having seen Peter Hall's E.T.T. production of  Chekhov's "Uncle Vanya" at a packed York Theatre Royal, this afternoon.    Vanya delivers a sustained attack on Professor Serebryakov whose 50 years of academia has cost the household dear for someone who is no more than an "educated kipper"; no reflection on your achievement, of course, although a worthwhile cautionary tale?    Wink
