I've finished the booklet note at last! I'm going to celebrate by going to bed.

The city is a process which always veers away from the form envisaged and desired, ... whose revenge upon its architects and planners undoes every dream of mastery. It is [also] one of the sites where Dasein is assigned the impossible task of putting right what can never be put right. - Rob Lapsley

I am happy because yesterday I made a spur of the moment decision My long flowing locks have been cut off and I now possess a rather jaunty club-cut jaw length bob to which various coloured streaks will be added I am really pleased I took the plunge.

I am happy because I'm drinking champagne, which means that I've passed my PhD viva (subject to minor corrections).

Congrats, Tim!! Well-deserved, and I'm not in the least bit surprised. Have one on me - BTW, this 'minor corrections' thing is almost always NOT to do with content. Examiners are required to ensure that work is 'in principle' of publishable quality, so they're not just nit-picking when they pull you up on grammar and presentation etc. In a sense, the work will be 'published' - by the University, since they lodge a copy in the Library.

Marty, Marty, Marty x fevered imagination I think Mort's got it, a sort of blonde Louise Brooks but not so severe and my front bits curve round in an even more appealling manner. I love it, I feel younger, sexier, bouncier, lighter and ready to take on the world!!

Merely corroborative detail, intended to give artistic verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative.
