Well done trj, fantastic!

Just today I took a card into a customer for the young lady (Transport Manager) who has just achieved her degree in Business Admin.

'Oh John, thank you. That's the first congratulations card I've had'

'Eh?' I said, 'What's all these?', looking at all the other cards standing up on her desk.

'Oh, it was my birthday yesterday!'

Oh and Ants is having a Happy Hair Day, so there's tidy Grin A jaw length bob, eh? Ooo la la!
Except blonde, of course!

Doesn't she look like a young Frances de la Tour ?

I'm afraid it reminds me of Berg's Lulu.  Or  Youman's No! No! Nanette.  Two works that have nothing in common but the decade or the hairstyle.

Nice work trj. (Looking forward to reading it some time.) If present trends continue, by the year 2126 everyone at r3ok except me will have a doctorate.

Thanks all!  Kiss

Felt pretty shattered last night, then had a restless night replaying all the worst bits of the viva in my mind (which is just stupid since they don't matter any more), but it feels pretty good this morning!

Now, what's next? Ah yes, fatherhood...

Sounds like me, trj. Not a good idea! Belated congrats Grin Grin.

Fatherhood as well? That's a lot going on.

Does Tinners read this thread? I want to wish him well for his sister's wedding tomorrow, but he's probably gone to wherever it is by now.

He does pop in now and then, Mary. But knowing him, he'll get up late and then have to run around like a dervish trying to pack in time, so he may miss your message.  Grin

It's all change here, I tell you! But my examiners were very understanding and are going to try to get 'paternity leave' for me to do my corrections, so I don't have three months starting from now but three months starting from September, by which time baby rj will be two months old (he/she is due in two weeks!) and I might just be able to start to think straight again...

Best wishes and good luck to mummy rj and to you, trj. Looking forward to hearing of baby rj's safe arrival.Kiss

Merely corroborative detail, intended to give artistic verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative.
