Welcome back, Mills!
Glad you had a great time. You'll find rather a lot has happened in your absence, however....

Glad you had a good time, Milly. I've never been to Helsinki (my sons have), but I love St Petersburg. What did you see there? Did the child do the sightseeing with you?

Thanks everyone. Yes Mary, he came everywhere with me. I only booked half-day excursions for us both but we managed them all. We were 2 days in St. Petersburg. I should have liked to go to the Hermitage but didn't want to be negotiating the child through all the queues and we were being constantly warned about pick-pockets. We did the Best of St. Petersburg tour which took us round the "highlights". That sort of trip is really more to whet the appetite for a longer stay next time. When he's older I shall take him back for a holiday just to Russia and he can then derive the best from it. I loved Helsinki because it was so clean and the people were so nice. The men there are GORGEOUS! Tall, lean, blonde - just beautiful. Lovely smiles. The child looked like a native - whereas I expect I resembled a little pygmy tourist. I got the distinct impression I was the only person there with black hair anyway.... Everywhere was wonderful though and I much preferred that cruise to the Mediterranean one last year. Much more interesting and educational for us both. I would only say though that it was physically quite a punishing schedule because out of 14 nights, there were only 3 days at sea and the rest was a stop every day and a sight-seeing trip. Very tiring. You need to be fit!! Might do it again next year with different tour options. Highly recommended anyway. Milly x

I've never been to Finland - it's too cold for me, I suspect. My sister and her husband did go for a long weekend 4 years ago and said it was -20C so i shall be avoiding it!
I find myself happy nearly all the time these days so i shall be around here more often than the grumpy thread!!

I've always tended towards the dark haired male. Unfortunately my first 'crush' was Yes, yes, well I didn't know any different then. I blame the nuns <nervous cough> Damn fine looking chap, though.

Mort, I may have my internet chastity belt tightened too much but all I get from your original posting is a Fortune City logo Did you mean Dirk Bogarde?

Indeed I did, Ants. Shame you couldn't view the original pic tho. It's so posed. Here, let's have another try ... I can see it from here...?

You'd have adored my father then Mort. Even given the age difference. He was so like Dirk Bogarde as to be mistaken for him quite often, although I actually thought dad was even better as he had bigger, darker, more soulful eyes. I should add that dad wasn't gay though....
