You can't have heard Bryn Terfel singing (I nearly put that in quotation marks) Danny Boy with Ronan Keating, then, BBM? Never heard anything like it, luckily. Why does he do these things? Admittedly the vilest sounds were not coming from Bryn
Sorry, that's not very happy.

A conference paper that I did last summer has been published in a Polish journal; I just got my copy through the post. But that's not why I'm happy today - I already knew this was on its way. The better news is that I've just translated the contract that they've sent me, and I think they want to pay me 520zl (about £120).* Not bad for something I did for free!
*I'm going to run the whole thing past my Polish neighbour before I sign anything of course.

Ah, yes, I did see a snippet of it on a BBC programme. Ronan's singing, well if you call it that!, not very good!
Bryn, I think was being very polite about the whole thing I think, really!!

trj... Congratulation with your paper being published. I hope they will pay you for contributing to the journal. They should do it here too.

Tim, you just send your invoice to Ron, Mort or Ollie via a PM. Works for me.

Well, that's fine, martle. (Though I trust you understand that with others sharing the pot, your own remuneration will drop substantially.)

Yes, I'm fine on that, trudge, but it will be in Caledonian currency: Ollie's got the Euro account, so you'll need to ask Mort, if you want English notes....

I am good with counting money. Acounting is my strong point. Everybody who will hire me for this position will have amazing time.
I am kind of happy because another young man is very interested in piano. He is finding music for himself on the net. He found composer named Ludvico Einaudi. The piece is called "Le Onde". I don't have any opinion on the piece, but I am glad he is looking for music. This particular piece was suggested by his music teacher in school. The student is in Living Cert year. He is taking music for his Living Cert exam. He is playing Schumann, Irish piece and this "Le Onde". We have to find him another piece. He will probably go through at least ten-twenty pieces in a year time, even he is very busy. He is a good sight-reader and is very bright.

PHEW!
I've happily negotiated my Dad's 80th Birthday celebrations! My sister and her 2 grown up kids came down as a complete surprise, so I had to cater for them, cook a birthday cake, roast beef lunch & 2 puddings, clear up, run people to the airport & generally do tons of things !!
It went really well and my parents were completely amazed to find the entire family here when they arrived....great!
(Sadly my sis and family have got through my wine rack in a pretty serious way !!! They were only here less than 48 hrs, 6 bottles wine/fizz, 8 cans lager, 7 bottles ale....."sorry, we cant carry anything on the plane") !!!! Never mind, it was well worth it!
