Cheers Martle ...and no doubt the evil oven chips while he's at it. Saw jaws akimbo pic of Clinton H the other day evidently about to eat some furniture in her moment of victory?

That is very unpleasant bug to have, Jonathan, glad you are better. Soon you will be in Happy room.
I am still struggling with lack of energy myself.

I'm here!  I had Italian tonight - and I would furnish you with some of my Indian recipes, but I'm trying to find a connection between Hindemith, Korngold, Martinu and Prokofiev.... Cry

I'll post some tomorrow if that's ok but I've got the bit between my teeth here now and I can't stop till at least I've thought of something interconnecting, no matter how remote or unlikely.  Sad

Milly was a well-balanced, sociable woman, caring of her young charges, responsible and fun-loving. Until, like so many before her, she succombed to the condition known as 'NMC'. This debilitating disease can destroy lives. It attacks the part of the brain that strives to 'make sense' of seemingly random information, like a list of four composers, and inflates the synapses to such an extent that other, necessary and desirable functions of the brain - like taking a healthy interest in food - become chronically suppressed.

With your help, people like Milly can be saved. It doesn't take much. Please look out for this man, and when you see his quizzes, simply ignore them. Without the lifeblood of attention, the quizzes will stop, and people like Milly can return to a normal existence.

Cheesy  Cheesy Stop it, martle! Stop it now!

I don't think I've laughed so much since GG's custard comment...

3 poorly children. Sad
Middle one, L, went down with this nasty bug on Tuesday and he's still ill, but seems to be slightly better today. Big brother D succumbed to it on Friday, and now it's finally got little R, who now has the temperature and has just been sick. The boys have had a recurring temperature of 102 and headaches - now they've both developed coughs. They've been drinking plenty and eating a little. Poor little R has a headache but the Calpol was returned undigested...she's asleep now.

I'll be furious if the school complain about their absence again. You can't send kids into school unless they're fit and well. I had a run-in with one of D's teachers a few years back after he'd been off with a very nasty chest infection (I know it was nasty cos I had it myself and was off work for 2 weeks - unpaid since I was on supply then) and she had a go at me for keeping him off school. I'm afraid it does annoy me when children are awarded certificates for 100% attendance - they're just lucky they haven't been ill!

Sick

Being sick is no fun.

When you get a cold,

It makes your nose run.

It makes you sneeze.

It makes you cough.

It makes your whole body

come to a halt.

I wish your children will get well soon. Somehow their teacher(s) will have to understand that children have to get well before they can go to school. The good idea (to make sure children go to school) is taken too far.

Thanks t-p. Thank goodness for TVs and videos/DVDs for sick kids. It does help to while away the hours. Though we've all had a bit too much tennis! Actually the tennis is fine - but the British Eurosport commentary and ads every few games are both very irritating.

A while ago Little R woke up, saw the clock said 9.30 and commented "It's very dark!" in a puzzled voice. She thought she'd slept through the night.

Hope they're all better soon.  Awful when children are ill.  Mine has a bit of an upset tum also but not enough to put him to bed.  When they return to school after a holiday they all seem to come down with something in the first week or two.

I woke up with a migraine at about 4 a.m. and as I was rooting about in the bedside cabinet for my injection I suddenly realised he was lying next to me.  Coming into my bed in the night is always a sign he doesn't feel too good. We're both ok now thank goodness.  Just feeling slightly "off".
