Ah! That's better.  This is where I belong - albeit only very temporarily hopefully - I don't want to turn into my mother! (Actually you'd have to know her to know what I mean there...)

Hmm. Cold symptoms seem to be slightly better and the sun has come out.  I wonder if there is any connection?

Your thoughts anyone?  Huh

Well I won't actually come into the sick room, Milly, because I don't want to catch anything but I'll just put my nose round the door to wish you well and leave you a bunch of roses (attractive but unscented ones so as not to rub it in). I'll just take the dog for a walk though to save you that. Won't be long. I've got the lead, the pedometer and his Roger Wright Chew. I think that's all we need.

George Kiss You are, as ever, a gentleman!  Thank you for the roses.  Erm - as you're not back with the dog yet I have a feeling there are one or two things I should have mentioned - but too late now!

E.g.

1.  When chew is demolished, he is likely to start chewing on any male canine in the vicinity due to being an alpha male and because :-

a) the entire territory is his and he will brook no rivals

b) all the bitches are his and

c) he is very protective - so hold him very tightly if a jogger trots past on the pavement (otherwise he may not survive trotting past)...

Hope you arrive back with all your fingers intact, your clothes not in shreds and nobody threatening to sue......

No need to worry at all, Milly. We very soon discovered that we had all of this in common and got on like a house on fire. We're alike in character as two peas in a pod  Grin

Erm, Milly - does that mean your dog has a tusk?  Quick! This sick room is turning into a Vet's!

Do you have cold, Aaron cassidy? I hope you get better soon. It seems to be late for cold, but spring is here and cold will go away quickly.

This is what you need, Aaron:

Thanks, t-p & IP.  It is indeed a cold.  Or, worse, it's a cold that morphed into a sinus infection.  It's been nagging at me for a week or so and I finally gave up and took the day off today.  Chicken soup, tea, and lots of sleep.  Maybe not so much with the whiskey just yet.

aaron,

Poor you. If it`s an infection you need something  a bit stronger than soup and tea to zap it. If you have any Lavender or Eucalyptus oil in the house, 10 drops in boiled water as an inhalation really helps. The combination of the hot steam and the anti-bacterial action of the oil gets the little buggers on the run! Then carry on zzzzzzzzing......
