Just to start off the list of musicians who sound like sneezes...

Khachaturian

Arensky

Uchida

Ah...Ah....Ashkenazy

Get well soon to everybody. I caught a cold yesterday from a malevolent 8 year old-the hapless mum powerless
to stop their prodigious purposeful coughing.
Could not Vit B/C be handed out to the little horrors at breaktime?
I forget whom but some American woman columnist advocated Mental Health Days -ahead of your immune system conking out-where you just sit and read or
mooch round the net. So that's what my bones are sagging in the direction of today.I don't think music is very helpful in these circs until your'e on the mend but the subconscious may plug away at something or other.
Neighbour here has a thing about a type of sub-soca gospel music which is deranged-scary rather than soulful and goes on at maximum thump when she blitz-cleans the joint. That is what I'm very glad isn't on at the moment-it
drives me out of the house in whatever condition I'm in to save my frying ears.
Echinacea is brilliant I tend to carry a tincture around with me
but it was the last eke of it yesterday and the current local mall is too ghastly to contemplate.

Since the day before yesterday I have been feeling increasingly ill. It seems like only a couple of weeks since I got over my last cold, so I almost hope what I have now is something different...

Richard,

I hope you`re not being re-visited by another bout of Schnittke Sad , but the bugs currently lurking around have a nasty habit of `disappearing` only to turn up a few weeks later. I blame it all on plastic bags polluting the environment Wink  For heavens sake REST, man! Do nowt. That`ll get the little bug-ers on the run.  Personally, I favour lots of sleep, PJs, a welcoming sofa, many cushions and books/music.

Wish you well

Thanks M. At the moment it's more of a Prokofiev than a Schnittke.

Sofa, cushions, books, music - check. PJs - I'm not generally a user but I know I have some somewhere. If only I had the energy to locate them.

In that case, stick the PJs. Just a blissfully conforting, all-enveloping robe......

Hmm, not quite what I had in mind. Still, there`s always bed socks.....
