Sir H Birtwhistle's The Minotaur Come now, Don! You've been to his operas so you should at least spell his name right. (The Minotaur was in Crete.)

I think that the message is more important than the spelling. This is why I am still posting.

I walked through that gorgeous little back street in your picture t-p! It is lovely there. There are parts of a Venetion castro in Naxos town, and of course the famous gate.
I thought about Ariadne a lot !
Greece is still pretty good for tourists Don Basilio, Mykonos was too frenzied for me, but not particularly over developed. I hadn't been to the Cyclades before.
My favourite part of Greece is Pelion, which is near Volos on the Eastern mainland. Gorgeous. Haven't been there this year as my ex has been out there all Summer. Maybe next year.

I just had a student who came from a trip to Greece and Mediterranean. They were playing on one of the ships. He said it was so good. He is 65 years old. May be one day I will visit my friend. I don't know Greece at all. Is it still warm there?

Yes, I know, but Ariadne was in Naxos JantheF getting into the night life on Naxos. (I think someone has already made the crack about CDs for a fiver, haven't they?) Sorry about the spelling.

It's always good to have Reiner's somewhat unique perspective on the board, so hope it won't be too long an absence.

At every one of these [classical] concerts in England you will find rows of weary people who are there, not because they really like classical music, but because they think they ought to like it. (Shaw, Don Juan in Hell)
