Have a nice trip.
I am, of course, quite jealous but hope to be holidaying next year!

I'm back!

Fab time....Naxos was super, peaceful and plenty of opportunity to practice my Greek.

Mykonos a bit expensive & rather frenzied, but fun for a few days.

Heaven to be home xxxx

Thanks all....I didn't hear any music although there were concerts most nights in Naxos town. Somehow we were just so laid back we didn't get to any.

I took about 20 CDs with me, and listened to them in bed with my tea each morning in rotation, and again in that lovely lazy time after the beach and before going out in the evening.

I decided to not think about what I wanted to listen to, but just to take the CDs out of the wallet in the order they were in, it was great because I listened to them all, and I didn't have to think about choosing!

(Mind you, they were carefully chosen before I went !  The only proviso was that I had to promise my man not to take any music that would bring back memories of my past life, or any that was particularly emotional for me)

Still on cloud nine after fab hol xxx Jan

Janthefan,
Where did you go in the evening? Did you go to dance? Or was it just for dinner?

t-p

Some evenings we ate out, other days we had lunch. Mainly we just wandered about in the gorgeous little streets of Naxos town & watched the world go by.

Once or twice we had cocktails!! I'd never had one before! What fun.

Any thoughts about Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos or Sir H Birtwhistle's The Minotaur while you were wandering JtheF?

I haven't been to Greece for ages.  I hope it is not getting too over developed.

Glad you had a good time. Any pikkies?

This is beautiful.

I can not imagine that there are people now who are wondering these streets.
Are there any historical sites there?
