Until the advent of Sarah "Abuse of Power" Palin, I hadn't heard the term "Joe Sixpack".

Until the advent of Sarah "Abuse of Power" Palin, I hadn't heard the term "Joe Sixpack".

I hadn't either, TF.  That doesn't, of course, mean it didn't exist and a little research suggests it is quite a common term:

Another reference is, perhaps, more sinister:

http://www.phrases.org.uk/bulletin_board/14/messages/286.html

"Wrap a flag around it, throw out some smoke and mirrors from the department of spin, and Joe Sixpack will buy it."

Is this Sarah's Joe, one wonders.

Sarah "Abuse of Power" Palin

That story doesn't get any better (for her at least) the more you look into it.
I love (am quite scared by) the fact that it doesn't matter why she fired Walt Monegan. He could have looked at her funny and it wouldn't make a bit of difference.

I notice the man introducing Governor Palin to his group defined a Christian as one who loves Jesus.

In my version of the Bible Jesus says he wants us to love God and our neighbour.

I saw the Panorama programme last night. It certainly proved the point where her weaknesses were, ie in the financial issues she hardly knew what she was talking about. Kept going on about 'job creation'!!
