That's a good point. We'll ask Gerald.

Sorry. He's not coming down.
Could you take the Marmite away please?

BREAKING NEWS: And later we'll play Meet the Moores
As Gerald plays at Harold's store.

Gerald Finzi. I remember listening to his music on COTW some time ago.

A concerned voter writes:
When faced with the choice of Obama or McCain, I can't help but wonder whether either of them is the right gerbil for the job.
Is it Harold Obama or Harold McCain that would make best gerbil president for the next four years?
I don't approve of Harold Bush, though I did for a while after 9/11, and I just want to make the best choice for my children Harold, Harold and Harold.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
Harold.

PS I hear that Harold Palin once dated a Gerald. Is that true? If so, she might get my vote!

EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES GERALD REPLIES:
Dear Harold,
Gerald has contacted us and let us know that he has no comment regarding his relationship with Harold Palin, but suffice to say, it didn't end well.
It seems likely that we will have a Harold in the White House regardless of voter action, and only a meteor strike can save us now.
Having said all of that, it may be wise to look at their track-record on Gerald fancying. Although Palin evidently fancied a Gerald at one stage in her life, but left him for her husband, Harold Palin. She evidently prefers Harolds to Geralds. McCain's history of bills (not Clinton - we all know that he changed his name to make begin his career as a sax soloist but packed it in as soon as he clipped a nail) regarding the legalisation of Geralds is particularly interesting, though Obama's silence on this issue also speaks volumes.
I wish you and all US gerbils all the best as you make your choice.

How can I be Harold or Gerald? I am neither. I am not Geraldine either.
How should I vote?

Dear Kevin

Thank you for your message. I read it with great interest.
Following consultation with a number of my specialist colleagues here at the house of Harold and Harold, I feel confident that I can diagnose your complaint with 99& accuracy.
You are a polecat.
Recent studies have shown that all polecats (except for the minority called Divine) are called Kevin.
If this does not prove to be the case, then I suspect that you are either hallucinating that you are called Kevin, or that perhaps the name Howard the Gerbil had already been taken when you joined Equity.
With best wishes and tender regards.
Howard

BREAKING NEWS:
Under allegations of unfair bias towards Geralds, Equal Opportunities Gerald has been temporarily removed from post pending a full investigation.
In his absence, his colleague Howard will take care of all business. She is a well qualified gerbil with an awful lot of experience both on the job and off.

Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

This is a difficult choice. I like both names. How can I vote for both.
It is the same name really, but some people (nationalities) say it with H and others with G.

So far I can not decide.
