Tsk tsk. Where are our manners? Now Ena, would you prefer a cuppa or a Milk Stout?

Morticia - how nice of you. But I don't want a milk stout - I'll have two please.

Are you, by the way, related to the Borgias?

Well spotted Ena. However it`s the Grimsby branch of the Borgias who led lives of impeccable sobriety, devoted themselves to good works and built the Borgia Chapel of the Sacred Stew Pot (alas long since reduced to rubble after an unfortunate incident involving the Sacristan, the perpetually bubbling Stew Pot and some, supposedly, damp fire wood. Which wasn`t.

Aside from the rumours of a, frankly impossible, incident with cockles, which was never proven, the reputation of the Grimsby Borgias is stainless.

I'm watching "Classical Star" and ranting inwardly all the time. Why should the shoppers of Milton Keynes be considered judges of musicians? Why does it apparently take only 3 weeks from "raw talent" to "classical star"?

Why am I watching this?

Why indeed, Mary? Why not go and spin of a disc of whichever Britten work it is that you hear least often  - unless it's the Simple Symphony, in which case you're excused, and can proceed to which ever opera you're least acquainted with. And if you're on the board at the same time, it can't be all that gripping, surely?

Without wishing to sound too much like Member Grew, we are not acquainted with the item to which you refer, Mary. Is it a type of talent competition for classical musicians?

AD, in this case, ignorance is most certainly bliss.

I've watched that quite often, Ollie Smiley. No such thing as too often though.

I wonder if they'd have won a telly talent contest?
