On the other hand, pianos can be very handy objects to beat the hell out of if you ever have trouble with a plumber.

Thanks, I am feeling better now.

The woman there was not a doctor. The piano was electric with amplifier (sounded scare on the bases).
That added to my fright.
Now I feel much more relax and don't even want to beat the piano.
My humour came back.

Thank you. Going to bed now. (did not check the post with a speller).

I am already around.
I want the whole world to know that I woke up at around 5 this morning with altos singing :Glory, Glory alleluia for about three times in a row. After that tenors sang their part. Bass part was next. I did not have soprano part on its own, but I had the whole chorus going in my head for about four, five times.
For some reason I did not progress to Nabuco Hebrew slaves chorus, I had a little bit of Maritana, but not a lot.

I decided to get up because I was tired of this recital.

I am not very grumpy, just like to complaint.

Approved by Mr Speller. He did not know Nabuco and suggested I had Nabisco. He doesn't know Maritana too.

t-p, sympathy over the music-in-the-head and the early waking, two things I too suffer from. I find it's best to get up rather than lie there wishing you could go back to sleep.

Thanks too for your good wishes. I  am improving slowly, thank you.

Thank you Mary Chambers.

I am glad you are better. Little by little infection can clear away. May be a nice breakfast will speed it up.

I am having porridge. Before that there is an apple and yogurt.

It is not nice to have music in your head. The worse thing is that one has little choice what is played.
I am going to try Radio 3.

I have too much to do before I leave tomorrow. It means that I'll have to take my computer as well as my new piece.
So much for travelling light. I really hate travelling with lots of baggage.  Sad

Perhaps I am allowed a grump too, I didn't get to sleep until 3. I came down about 1.30 and read my book for over an hour, thank goodness it's a good one!

t-p I have arthritis in the little finger of my left hand, not a good place for a violinist. It is bent, not too much ( yet!)
I went to the doc, and I have mentioned it a few times over the years ( about 10) and when i ask what I should do I am told, 'Stop playing', 'Play more'.... they don't know or care. So I made my own mind up about it and decided to play even more , I also decided that when my finger finally packs up I will join a choir !

I have also resumed my playing of the classical guitar ... very elementary... but fingers need to be strong.

There is no use whatsover in worrying or moaning about a situation that won't really alter.

I have found that a magnetic bracelet , or ankle chain as I now wear , also helps. I am slightly laughed at for this I think but it does stop the pain and the finger has not bent more since I wore one.

A - That sounds an immensely positive way of coping with arthiritis!
