Member Thompson! Yes, you at the back!  All custard privileges suspended for the next month. And kindly hand over that catapault and the liquorice shoelaces that you nicked from Martle Minor last week! Grin

Just about to tuck into the curry I've cooked, it's my standard red lentil recipe with the addition of a green pepper and thinly sliced sprouts - never tried sprouts in a curry before so it remains to be seen how they work out. I've liked using kale in curries recently since the strong flavour is not dominated by all the spices I use so I'm hoping that the sprouts are similarly successful.

Flamin' 'Eck, Mort, I've yet to get around to lunch - fresh spinach soup probably - as my body-clock is in a Hanover of a mess, as Raymond would have said. I might be thinking about sorting out supper while most of you are signing out on the goodnight thread....

Some of these perhaps.

Hmmm, a strangely appetising photograph. If only I were at home now...

Flamin' 'Eck, Mort, I've yet to get around to lunch-

Lunch here was some deliciously mature cheddar with ridiculously addictive oatcakes Smiley None of which were shared with the Beasts. Well, not much Grin

GASP! Just seen Richard's cornichons <drool>

Sound of feet running hastily towards the pantry.

Talking of cheddar, this, recently discovered in my local deli, is the best cheddar I've ever had! If you see it, buy some!

No, he was the one who'd only just managed to get down to business in the (massively oversubscribed) little boys' room during the interval when the one-minute call came for the second half, which meant that certain important aspects of the operation were forgotten in his haste and remained undone until after the concert.

Too much information I know. Good thing I wasn't playing in The Planets... (or should that be moons)... it's OK, I'll let myself out...

Fishcakes tonight (defrosted from last week) with some beautiful greens (dressed in something citrus... rummages in fridge).
They are haddock fishcakes with capers and parsley mixed in. I'm putting them in the oven this time rather than on the hob. We'll see how they fair this time...

And what sort of citrus are these rummages in your fridge exactly, hh? Sound like rather untidy knobbly thick-skinned brownish fruits with an aroma of distilled muscovado.
