Slowly fried Charlottes with courgette, orange pepper, onion, plus a fair sprinkling of chilli, cumin, turmeric, served with fat-free yoghurt and lime pickle. Probably very fattening but worth the risk.

Eek! How is it lunchtime already? I've done exactly nothing this morning... Bother.
Boiled egg time. With soldiers. And a toasted cheese and tomato muffin. Followed by a banana, a couple of mandarins and a couple of plums.
Dinner may well be kippertastic but that means I may have to procure some potatoes this afternoon.

Bacon!
Last night i opened a packet of bacon and cooked it along with some sausages and mushrooms. However, not being too greedy (as if..) i decided to finish the bacon in a sandwich for lunch. So, i put the grill on (the hobs broken) and left the bacon under it while i looked at shells on the internet. Within 5 minutes, it had turned into a brown, seriously carbonised blob of something, totally unlike bacon. Last night it took 20 minutes to cook and today it took 20 seconds. I wonder why?

Did you warm the grill up for longer this morning? That can sometimes make a huge difference.

Last night was roast pork belly. I had marinated it in a mix of crushed red peppercorns and sea salt, honey, and rioja. Great hot, not so good cold for lunch today.

Are you absolutely, completely positive that it was only 5 minutes, Jonathan? You know what happens to time when the net swallows people up Well Mort, it may have been a little longer but it wasn't more than 10! hh - yes, i did prewarm the grill too. I am at a complete loss to explain this. However, the hob broke for the 3rd time last week so maybe the oven is also faulty in some way as well?

I think that I have become addicted to boiled eggs For weeks now I have kept wanting to eat them, craving them. Breakfast, lunch or dinner I blame it all on the truly lovely Free Range eggs stocked in my local supermarket. And before you ask, the answer is 'No'. Twice

Eeek. I keep on forgetting how fatty coconut milk is. I had a portion of thai curry to spare last night, so I put in the fridge. When I took it out, it had solidified completely, though quickly melted back again with a few seconds in the microwave

Don't panic, Milly! I only said that I 'felt' like eating them all the time. I'm not actually doing it
