The Mysterious Affair of the Dirty Deeds at Crouch End Barclays Bank dragged on for six flaming weeks at Wood Green Crown Court.  And I will never, never believe anything a barrister says in future.  They will argue white is black if paid and go on and on and on.

There were six defendants, each with their own counsel and it was fascinating to watch different techniques of manipulation.

And as for Wood Green Shopping City, frankly as a shoppers' paradise it makes the Bethnal Green Road street traders look like Selfridges.

Hi everyone,

I've been away from the internet for ... 5 whole days (starting to hyperventilate) and it was fantastic to see all your messages - thanks so much to all! Liking the cakes and red-themed stuff very much (might actually change my name to Ruby now, it's starting to grow on me.)

Mort - fabulous pic - I love the Ruby slippers.
hh - I'm afraid most of your pictures were blocked but I got enough entertainment from just looking at the properties & subtitles ("...longcoat-chihuahuas.com...??")
AndyD - nice picture. Subtle.  I like the use of .... black.
Don Basilio - Hoorah for the cathedral.  Smiley

And Pim - belated Happy Birthday from me too!!  Grin

Kiss

Oh and George G - you win the prize for the second use of "Ruby 2's day" [that I'm aware of].  Except I got the joke a bit faster this time.  Grin
