Well, I'm tempted to say No 5 is Davros, but failing that, is it Bruckner? No 6 - well that wig could belong to any number of late 16th/ early 17th century musos, I'll try Telemann; No 7 has a bit of a look of Bartok about him but not quite enough for me to be convinced that' the right answer; and No 8 could be Bax...

I'm not getting the snakes reference I'm afraid...

5. is Bruckner, the bust is in Linz

6. contemporary of Telemann; more statues in England but this one is in Germany  Wink

7. this is hard, we don't hear him much. This bust in in Sao Paulo....

8. I had to double-check this one as he looks very different on other statues. It's in Vienna.....

No. 6 is of Handel (actually it's of Händel) and it's in Halle in east Germany, where he was born.

Excellent roslyn and richard.

OK, these quizzes don't last long but I prefer to give clues than leave people to trawl through google images, or to just forget it  Smiley

5. Bruckner, Linz
6. Händel, Halle
7. Villa-Lobos, Sao Paulo
8. Lehar, Vienna

another set, maybe I'll let these run for a bit,

9 looks like a male version of Eleanor Rigby (is that a can of Stella at his side?) Has a bit of a look of Roussel about him but I don't think it is.
10 Gluck after a wash and brush-up?
11 Well, whoever that is doesn't look too healthy - a night in the gutter by the looks of things! (Doesn't look unlike Dudley Moore...)
12 Presumably we're looking at the one on the left! It reminds me of that famous Johann Strauss II statue but he's sitting here and doesn't have a violin...

All in all, I think I've scored nul points...

Nul points it is ros. Simple clues then, as I know too little to do anything else  Smiley

9. is Hungarian
10. aaarrrggghhh is not a composer, wrong photo Roll Eyes
11. contemporary of Beethoven
12. he's the one on the left, composed ~75 operas

Edit: couldn't find a statue of the intended 10. so a photo has been substituted, above.

10. is English contemporary of Handel
