ARGGHHHHH! I made the fatal mistake of viewing a YouTube clip posted by Baz on the 'Crackpot' thread. I so wish I hadn't, although I should have known better. It's Virgil 'Liberace of the Organ' Fox doing dastardly things to Bach's 'Gigue' Fugue. Now I can't get the damn thing out of my head, complete with all the dancing and happy clapping Shocked

Sorry Mort - perhaps you should listen to Hans Andre Stamm playing Bach's G Minor Fugue (BWV 541) on the newly renovated Trost-Organ in Waltershousen, Germany (a lovely period instrument played really nicely!).

CLICK

Baz  Smiley

Ahhhh, that's better Smiley  Beautiful sound, also fascinating to actually see the instrument being played.  I love the organ. Speaking as a lay person, I have admiration for those that can play it. Apart from Virgil Shocked  Baz, you have made me a very happy bunny Smiley Smiley

I'm at work supposedly composing, but this is just a quick hello to let everyone know that I'm ok, just a bit busy and lacking in the whole laptop front! (erm...)
Normal service will be resumed!

Nice to hear from you, hhhhhh! Smiley Kiss

I'm feeling strangely happy today, even though I'm going to have to go out in a couple of hours when I'm really in the mood for staying at home and working. Going to try and make the best of it by seeing if I can fit in a trip to the gym, which would at least be something worth leaving the house for that I haven't got round to for ages.

The ELISION ensemble doesn't give much time for bathroom breaks, I guess, if the new picture on the front of their website is any indication...

I am completely politically incorrect and say "Your Anus", but run the r into the anus (if you excuse the mental imagery that conveys....)

Lucky the r is singular  Roll Eyes

Well there the coward's way out is just to call it 'The Magician', no? Or at the very least to make sure you say "The Magician" nice and quickly after "You rain us" just to make sure there's nothing questionable left hanging in the air... Wink

Oooo-rer-nuss?  Or 'Page 87'?

But, admittedly, then it sounds as if you are trying to avoid something. So you can't win. How about a campaign to rename it 'Eldridge'?
