I was lost both times (going in and going back). The signs are very bad here that is if there are any signes. I passed some places several times, but I am not much wiser after it all to know the area.

Got to love the signposting in rural Ireland!  Tends to get worse as you go further south, I think. (I hope you've managed to settle down a bit by now; sounds like a day it would take me a week to get over).

increpatio, Thank you for your understanding.
I was able to sleep after a day like that, but I definately overheated yesterday and I am up early.

I would feel much worse if it would not be for this message board.

My cloths are on the line and now I can discuss the signs on the road to Athenry. Sometimes they point in both directions with the word Athenry on it (probably the city could be reached from many angles.
When I was living in USSR maps were state secret. If there were maps they had so many mistakes in them that one could not get anywhere using them. I have no doubts it was done in case someone would invade again.
It created a lot of inconveniece for simple folks, but would be sure confusing for invading army.

The place Athenry is very charming. There is a song about Athenry. However there are so many new estate built that   they are in danger of losing their charm and originality. It is still beautiful. May be some of you will decide to visit the area.

Thank you for posting that, T-P. I love the music of Turlough O'Carolan. There is a wonderful piece with a dancing rhythm - "Merrily Kiss the Quaker's Wife". I wonder what the story behind the title was?

I am going to try to find out, KittyBritton. This is the song http://www.last.fm/music/Nadia+Birkenstock/_/Morrison%2527s+Jig%252FMerrily+Kiss+The+Quaker%2527s+Wife

Many Irish tunes have many different words. Some tunes are old and were used for words that were done at the much later time. Some times a song that was about love indeed are about Ireland. Beautiful girl usually represent Ireland that needs to be free etc.
My friend plays knee size Irish harp and it sounds much sweeter than recorded playing.

I was awake at 5.30 too. Broad daylight, not conducive to sleep.

Has anyone here not seen these yet? Apologies if you all have. They were absent from the site for some months and only available through Comedy Central. But they're back for everyone to enjoy now.

I think they're rather amusing.

Thank you ollie, I found myself a twin. I am sick and tired like him from the site. On the other hand there are always baloons. http://www.addictinggames.com/morebloons.html I am on this one for a few weeks and can not pass it.

Ah, it's possible....difficult, but definitely possible (with some ruthless efficiency!  Wink)

I made no progress with my bloons. I am stuck on 22. I think I reached the end of my potentials. I can do no better. I tried it with a relaxed wrist, with stiff wrist, with thinking about, without thinking about it.
It is no use. I am doomed because I can not do it.
