Just had this lovely moth, a Jersey tiger moth, on our wall in the kitchen today. It seeme to be attracted to yellow, the wall is yellow and it also liked the yellow teapot !

Anyone else seen one?

Except you could end up making a mistake and overfill the pan. The bottom will burn and could stick to the bottom of the pan, and the centre won't set. It'll still taste as good but it'll take AGES

'You fool harmonyharmony! Our plans for world domination foiled again! And by an overfilled pan! There'll be hell toupee for this in the morning just mark my words.'

'Sorry boss. This steamed pak choi is pretty good though, don't you think?'

'I don't care about the pak choi you moron! Now pour me another glass of white.'

'Yes boss. Sorry boss.'

"You gonna finish that pak choi?  Another glass of white?  You've been very quiet."

hh was steeped in thought.  Suddenly he leapt to his feet.  "You know what the answer is?"  he demanded.  "Do you know where we are going wrong?"

"We need a bigger pan!"

"We need a bigger pan!"

'With a bigger pan we could sail right into the harbour, mount the defences, and and and...'

'And?'

'Does it matter?'

'Well no, I suppose not.'

'Got anything planned for the weekend?'

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Did somebody say summat?  Huh

I didn't wake up till 9.45 a.m.!  Sprog has been overnight at his father's and isn't coming back until 3 p.m.  Just shows you how long I'd sleep if I wasn't woken up about 6 a.m. every day.

Today is my mother's birthday and we're going out for tea later at a local hostelry that has a children's play place.  Picking her up at 5-ish - if she's well enough.  She hasn't been too good lately. Off for a manicure at 11 and then back to do some ironing before little 'un returns.

Lovely lazy day - beautiful weather at the moment, very warm and sunny.  Sack the ironing.  I'll sit in the garden instead with a nice cool drink.  Cheesy

Sometimes, quiet is good. (Eh Mort?) Wink

The sun hasn't burned through the cloud yet, though it's promised....

I woke up at 10 (after waking at 6 and going back to sleep) and was quite surprised. I knew where I was this morning (yesterday I was convinced I was in Germany still) though surprised at how hot it was. The flat's been quite cool recently so that took me aback a little bit.
Nothing like a slow Saturday morning watching food programmes.

Indeed Ron, quiet can be a jolly good thing. Wink

Hot and sunny here. I practically melted  earlier after doing some over enthusiastic hoovering. Phew. So muggy last night sleep was rather elusive. Gave up in the end and got up at 6. A couple of extra hours would have been nice...

Of course, not all of us need a passport to enter Wales.  Grin

My supervisor's birthday today. Going round there later to cook risotto and celebrate.
Should be nice!  Smiley
I have to do some more work on putting his latest quartet into the computer first though...

I woke c 6am bt zzd again till woken by garden waste collection lorry at 8 Angry

Wearing a new pair of shorts for the first time, off to watch some cricket soon.

Got to go and feed my brother's cat some time as well, probably during the tea interval. When I went yesterday, the alarm was playing up. There'd been a power cut earlier and the alarm was sounding at the control box, though not outside. He was telling me (on my mobile) how to turn it off but nothing seemed to work - it appears to be buglered. So I had to leave it in the end, hope it didn't go off in the middle of the night. Also I was a bit anxious about making sure I locked up properly behind me as a result.

I'll have to buy some new shorts. None of mine fit me anymore after my weight loss last year.
It's nice in some ways but annoying in others. At least I'll have a bigger pay packet at the end of next month to make these things possible.
And I have to buy new shoes because you could see through the soles of the pair I binned in Darmstadt.
