bbm, if you click on the 'quote' button, top right hand side of the screen, you will find tp's source for the photograph which tells you that it's Cherry Pie. Looks jolly nice too er, I meant Kirschkuchen.

IT IS TIME.
Time, that is, that I can eat something. I had a late appointment at the dental hygienist today (since these things cost in Germany a fraction of what they do in Blighty), forgot to eat beforehand, and was told I wasn't allowed to eat, or drink apart from water, for two hours afterwards. So if you'll excuse me.

I just want to ask people this quastion:
Is it good to laugh too much or is it bad?
I guess it is better to be in the middle.
My father used to tell me that if I laugh too much I soon will be crying.

at the dental hygienist today (since these things cost in Germany a fraction of what they do in Blighty) That's interesting and potentially useful to know. Just out of interest, though, how much do they normally cost in Blighty? I pay something like £16 for my six-monthly visit to the dentist and hygienist (I usually see them both in the same visit, and the cost covers both), but I've a feeling this may be significantly cheaper than the norm. t-p, You can laugh as much or as little as you like. Laughter does not require us to keep a day free, as Samuel Beckett didn't quite say ...

Laugh. Trust me on this, if you can't laugh at life, sooner or later you'll cackle insanely.
I know. I do.

I don't think there's such a thing as laughing too much. Maybe it's a cultural thing?

Seconded Kitty. In fact I have just laughed (possibly insanely) at a post elsewhere on this Board. I have now mopped my tears and can see to type. Laughter is the best survival mechanism that we humans have. We should put it into operation often. Plus it feels good!

I was laughing so much, my tears were coming out (like Morticia).
Nevertheless, I finished cleaning the house after plumber's work yesterday. I did my washing and I had one student with Attention Def Desorder. Is there some chinese saying about it? Something like: he who achieved a impossible is never tired.

The plumber cost was not too much to cry about. It was 120 euro. I thought it was a bargain. At one point the water was coming from the attic. I thought it was real disaster.
I did not have time to clean the house yesterday, but I did it today.
I don't remember why I was laughing, but I don't remember laughing like that before.
I will have to revisit the thread. I don't remember the name of the thread. I will probably find it.
I remember washing the floor and laughing. I am glad there was no one home beside me.
