1st violin seems to have a problem with rhythm.  2nd violin has a problem following the styles of others.

They're not German by any chance?  Undecided

I don't know why I thought it was north England. I can see now that it is south. It must be beautiful there.

No, it's definitely North West England. I used to live near Fleetwood on your map.

And I used to live in Northwich, which is probably just about on t-p's map!

And I used to live in Sale, and that is definitely North West England

Martle - I was made a grandma in the year 2000 and I haven't wanted photos taken ever since.  I thought the 2004 newspaper one above was particularly horrific!  I still like to think I look as I did when I was 21 but of course - I evidently don't!  This is what I used to look like.

The problem with ageing is that of course you don't feel any different inside and it's only when you look in the mirror that you get a shock.

Oh dear!  That's come out too big as well.  I'm sure there must be a way of making pictures smaller .....

What a compliment!  However, unfortunately not any more as you can see from the above press photos.  Nice to know it was true once though!  Grin

That is so absolutely true - not that you have a problem yet, Milly! Trouble is although you (i.e. one, not Milly) feel just the same, you are perceived differently by other people, if they don't know you. It's very annoying.  Society at present is very youth orientated, to the extent that people are squeamish about age and try to hide it, as if being young were some kind of virtue. You also hear people apologise if they imply someone is not young, as if they were accusing them of a terrible vice.

Isn't it great not to be kicked off here at midnight like at the Beeb?  Auntie was very strict wasn't she?

Amazingly not, but I think that's because the board is run by enthusiasts and not jobsworths.

Sydney Grew has put in an occasional appearance, but seems to prefer to be a stalwart of the other place.

I think we're far too frivolous for him on here!
