Half a gallon of maple syrup! No wonder Americans are fat.

Odd though it may seem, most Americans are not fat.  In California, for instance, there is a sizeable majority of slim people.  Of course there ARE fat Americans as there are fat Brits and fat Brit children.  Ditto Germans and quite a few other races.
Cheers.

Ho!  May I introduce you to the President of the Waffle Society - Adalbert Waffling.  To match his achievements should be our aim.
Cheers

Adalbert Waffling was a real person convicted of practicing real sorcery in 744-745 A.D. and was imprisoned in the monastery of Fulda.

Ho S'Wave,

So sorry you have been ill... take care of yourself, not too many waffles but plenty of scotch !!

Himself is great... absolutely. Life here is fine, SELondon has lots of good points but I do have an occasional twang for the Trafford Centre and good old Manchester. Still, as my brother said 'You can't have everything' . I often think, 'Why not?', but 'c'est la vie'

I have had my first concert in my new orchestra and it was great. The standard is really good and they are making efforts to be friendly!

Going to ENO Death in Venice this weekend and it will only take about 3/4 hour to get there instead of forever from Manchester plus an overnight stop, so... life is pretty good.

Hope you are now on the mend... take care. You were sorely missed. <hug> <hug>

Soundwave, I thought that "officially" (presumably based on some sort of statistics) America is the fattest nation. In Europe it was Greece until recently, but now I think it's Britain.

I have to say I have never actually met a fat American.

A - so you got your ticket for D in V all right? It was you worrying about your online booking, wasn't it?
