Yet another thread I'll never visit again. My viable pathways through these boards are dwindling in number.

I use an antiseptic shaving cream and now I am dwindlingly number.
And I'd never've expected Brian Ferneyhough to pick this thread for his first (and last?) post.

Do you mean an anaesthetic shaving cream? That would be a very bad idea, methinks.

But not so bad that they don't get made.

Yes, I mean anaesthetic, not antiseptic. They have a mild anaesthetic in them. I don't use them actually, but they do exist.

Whassit got to do with Brian Ferneyhough?

Viable pathways dwindling in number (to a final tally of six, I believe, in a musical composition).

Also, 'dwindling in number/dwindlingly number' seemed a rather Ferneyhovian verbal conceit, if rather neater than some of his.

You are a star, CD (up there with Constellation Grew). I hope you know that. Actually, maybe I should hope you don't know that.

I've never heard any of that six pathways thing before. I stand deeply edified.

You can't make your own skyscape, I'm sorry to say. It's not allowed. But I appreciate the sentiment and promise to forget it promptly.
