that 'raising shoulders and going a bit on tippytoes' thing that sax and clarinet players seem to do when the register starts to get a bit vertiginous
Oh yes. Kari Kriikku's a great one for that! (Helps/doesn't help that he looks a bit like a bespectacled twig in the first place. Wink)

Do we?

Do I? Given the choice I'd prefer to plant my weight on my heels (bzw. up against the back of the chair), get the air column nice and straight and lay it on out there.  Roll Eyes

Bright red socks would seem to be compulsory when playing the music of a Marxist composer.

Some commentators feel that Nono may not have kept his eye fully on the ball re. 'commodification' during this period of his career.

Just a heads up for anyone who hasn't yet bought their Prometeo tickets:

DO IT NOW

According to the RFH's online booking, there are only two tickets left for Friday, and about a dozen for Saturday.

James, there are still a few left for Saturday. You have to scroll up, and left or right to find them though.

I'm having a hell of a time ordering my tickets.  It doesn't like my USA billing address.  (I've tried everything I can think of -- nothing seems to work.)

Is there some exceedingly kind soul out there who might be willing to purchase me a ticket for Saturday night, and I'll reimburse you?  Would be very much appreciated!  PM or email ...
