Erm....on two counts baffled:
[a] what kind of prejudices are you referring to about Sandi Toksvig? This is a full on genuine question. I don't like her at all, but I have absolutely no idea what kind of prejudice I might be guilty of in disliking her? This is NOT a wind-up.
what attacks on Sara or Sarahin TOP? No chapter and verse given....just the question? Can someone explain, please?
yrs Flummoxed from t' North
PS aren't there actually quite a lot of Italians in Preston?

Perhaps he is related to this individual who has previously posted under a variety of names including "richardbarretfanclub" (sic), but who, whatever Ian might think, is neither me nor anyone known to me (er, as far as I know).

Re, OliverSoden, Soden isn't a completely unheard of surname. It happens to be mine ! But I hasten to add that I'm not the poster enquiring about Britten, on my very rare forays at TOP my username's as close to this one as their system will allow.
I don't know of any relatives called Ollie but in view of the fairly uncontroversial nature of the post I'm inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt.

As it happens, I have come across someone of the name in question who is, at a guess, a potential poster at TOP. So I'm inclined to accept him as genuine too, especially since the posts in question look pretty innocuous.

At every one of these [classical] concerts in England you will find rows of weary people who are there, not because they really like classical music, but because they think they ought to like it. (Shaw, Don Juan in Hell)
