I am very greatful to you John. I want you and all others to tell me when I am making mistakes.
Otherwise how am I going to learn. I don't mind at all. I get so angry with myself for not paying attention. Unfortunately I am not very studious person and I awlays rush.
It is really terrible. But I am trying. Please tell me every time if you notice I am getting really bad (especially).
I do get tired and then my English goes down significantly.

I love Scottish accent. This morning I went to a hair dresser before the exam. The hairdresser was a young man from Scotland. I don't know the place he is from. He said it is a big city (not two that I know). He made a very good haircut for me. And he did have a Scottish accent. I loved it. He likes it here. He wants to be a music producer. He plays guitar, but he used to play cello.

Also I did a stupid thing. I decided to have a manicure. That distracted me terribly because I am not used to have it. I played reasonably all right, but I am not going to have a manicure again. I am sure of that. (not before a concert).

Thank you again for your help and understanding.

Swearing in a foreign language does not sound so bad as swearing in your own.
Foreigners tend to repeat things without really feeling what they are saying (like parrots or children do).
I have sympathy for poor Sean.

Scott

I remember Paul G.  I really liked him, accent and all.  Big shame he went.  To me he was informed and enthusiastic without being gushy.  And yes, it was almost certainly prejudice and snobbery that lead to his departure.

I just don't warm to Sean R but I'm quite happy to listen to him at times. I don't want to go down the awful road of presenter bashing, so I won't add to what I said above.

How's the car radio reception?  All the best down Essex way.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<////////////This is becoming dreadful! Gambaccini was appalling, and Raffababble is almost as bad. Apart from his holidays he's been presenting the "In Tune" slot day in and day out for years and years and years. In the "good old days" there was a different presenter each weekday, and the programme was then bearable. Once Raffababble took over it went progressively downhill, with irritating mannerisms, hyper-deferential crawling to "celebrities", endless foolish chatter, and pointless interviews. The accent doesn't help, but on its own, if all else was acceptable, it would be OK. I can only imagine that the reason that Raffababble is still doing that slot is that he knows where the bodies are buried!  And I can see nothing wrong with "presenter-bashing" if the presenter is that dreadful.

lovedaydewfall,
I don't think he is that bad. Today I enjoyed listening to him very much. He was good with both the viola player and the pianist.
It is not easy to interview people every day. Some times may be he is not as good as other times. I don't listen to the program every day, just some times.

I don't think Gambo was all that bad becuase he's unpretentious, although he can end up spreading himself thin.
Rafferty comes across to me as completely pretentious, or a lost little boy in a sailor suit, and unwilling to learn about the art and craft he presents rather than gawp at it. There is a tradition of concert-going that reacts this way to music, but the task of the practicioner is to lead them gently away to a progressive view. The encouragement of an audience to aurally gawp and wallow is unethical where there's no commercial component, and inadvisable where there is (see various verdicts  on Mellor thread ).
