I have the lady in question pencilled in my diary for Symphony Hall in Birmingham on 15th November... the Beethoven concerto is far above Mozart on my wish list...

But I've got tickets for quite a few concerts this autumn already and I think time and finances are going to squeeze this one out Sad

But these are not 'virtual' are they Mi Lord, they are recordings of real performances  Roll Eyes

A virtual performance would be a digitally created performance of Janine performing, say, one Jascha Heifitz's 'baroque' compositions which I'm sure she hasn't got around to recording yet  Smiley

But most of them seem to be sopranos, which just don't have the same appeal...  Undecided

Pssst... wanna buy a dodgy download of Sarah Chang with Domingo playing Zigeunerweisen?  Wink

Well - as for "best violin player in the universe", I assume you have been having tutorials with our Syd? (Though I have to admit she's pretty good!).

Tell me, m'Lord - exactly WHY do you think she's "the best violin player in the universe", and what is your EVIDENCE?

Agreed, I remember seeing a tv programme of her playing chamber music in Edinburgh with Stephen Osbourne and Alban Gerhardt, I think in the very early days of BBC4. Sadly she doesn't seem to record much, though I have got an old BBC Music mag cover disk from when she was a young generation artist.

She is a resident at the Wigmore Hall I think, but I saw her in Manchester... lovely player IMHO!!
