Glad to hear you're back safe and sound, Ron. To be honest, I'm a bit surprised you were able to get away at all.

Glad you all had a good time and didn't get blown away.
There is perhaps a certain coincidence that I shall be playing through 'Planets' tonight in the first rehearsal for our next concert ( last one was Saturday night)

Well, PW, as I mentioned yesterday, it wouldn't have surprised me at all had we been held.We were out in one of the outlying sheds (Gate 10) at Gatwick - since EasyJet offered the flight free of charge apart from taxes, I wasn't going to turn them down - waiting to board and the structure was shaking as the gusts hit it, whilst the wind was wailing like a banshee and the rain sounded like uncooked rice being chucked at the cladding. The staff were pretty adamant that the flight would be going, however, although some other flights were being pulled; we left on time and arrived slightly early. Sounds as if other 'London' airports were having more serious problems: I didn't stop to see what chaos was happening at Edinburgh Airport, but as I drove out of the car park, there was a Radio Scotland travel summary which mentioned disruptions to London flights and the West Coast Main Line, as well as snow problems - as we came out of the cloud over the hills south west of Edinburgh, the snow was quite deep, but I've seen none up this way....yet.

A, It was a good day. Shame that you couldn't have been there. But gosh, the walk along the front certainly blew the cobwebs away! Nearly blew my coat away as well

As mentioned elsewhere, the difficult light, lack of space and the nature of the afternoon all conspired to make it tricky to take successful pictures yesterday. Here's one that's OK-ish. I'll not identify, other than as 'Subject A' thereby allowing the member to decide whether he wishes to divulge his identity.

Two of 'Subject B'. The twinkliness apparent in the second picture appears to be a natural trait which surfaces frequently.

Yes, twinkles all round. 'Subject B' does that a lot, I can attest. Nice, Ron.

Is that a soul patch I see on the chin of Subject B, or are my eyes tricking me?!
